Petrochenko Vladimir, PhD, CEO


Vladimir Petrochenko is the Head of the joint project of State Atomic Energy Corporation ROSATOM and JSC EuroSibEnergo (En+ Group, Oleg Deripaska). The project is aimed to create a modular fourth-generation fast nuclear reactor. Vladimir Petrochenko has been working as the Director General (CEO) of JSC AKME-engineering since 2011.

He has more than 33 years of experience in the energy industry. Vladimir Petrochenko started his career in 1984 at one of the largest power plants in the Kuzbass - Belovskaya GRES. In 1997 he was appointed Director of the Belovskaya GRES, in 2000 he was appointed First Deputy Director General of OJSC Kuzbassenergo.

Since 2003, he worked on the civil service at the posts of the Adviser to the Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation, the head of the Electric Power Industry Department of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation. Vladimir Petrochenko was a member of the supervisory board of the nonprofit partnership “Trade System Administrator” (SB NP “TSA”), a member of NP “TSA” mediation board, a member of the Government Commission on reforming the national electric power industry and a member of the Strategy and Reform Committee under the Board of Directors of the Russian joint-stock company of power and electrification (RAO UES of Russia).

Before joining JSC EuroSibEnergo, Vladimir Petrochenko had been working for 4 years as the Director of Power Engineering at the Russian Machines Ņorporation. He had been working as Deputy Director General of the energy company JSC EuroSibEnergo since April 2009.

In 1984, he graduated from the Tomsk Polytechnic Institute named after S.M. Kirov by specialty “Heat-power engineer”.

In 1999, he successfully defended Ph.D. thesis on the topic "Technology of production of heat-insulating and structural materials with a plasma coating using technogenic wastes of the Belovskaya GRES".

For his professional achievements and great personal contribution to the development of the energy industry Vladimir Petrochenko is awarded the title of "Honorary Power Engineer" (the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation) and the breastplate “For Contribution to the Development of the Nuclear Industry" of the 2-nd degree (ROSATOM).
