New Patents for SVBR-100 are Obtained
On December 8, 2014, AKME-engineering has obtained two new patents for inventions within the project SVBR 100: "The heat-exchanger unit and the displacer used in it" and "Field's Pipe". Earlier this year, on July 15, the Federal Service for Intellectual Property (Rospatent) has granted AKME-engineering with a patent for the invention of "Nuclear reactor with liquid metal coolant (options)."
AKME-engineering is actively protecting SVBR-100 as its intellectual property. Up to date the company is in for about 50 applications for inventions, including 11 applications for international patenting procedure.
The main objects of AKME-engineering’s patenting are the SVBR-100 systems and units, in particular lead-bismuth coolant, rehandling facilities, heat-transfer equipment, the overall design of the SVBR-100 reactor and others.
As part of the SVBR 100 project AKME-engineering plans to obtain another 100 patent applications in the coming years, as well as international patents in the focus countries of potential export and development of the technologies.
